Given the fun we had over the last years, we are looking forward to welcome our friends from Frankfurt in a much bigger tent in 2009.
And they won‘t splash out and let all guns blazing! After our Swedish pearls Minilogue have been sickly at the last SMS, they are now the highlight on Friday. Also Saturday has much to offer with the new entries to Cocoon Booking Onur Özer, Cassy and C-Rock; we especially look forward to the reunion with Josh Wink. Josh will be playing right after Jacek Sienkiewicz, who is presenting his new album „Modern Dance“ live. So, just follow the yelling on Friday from 8 p.m on – we are sure you will be able to locate the tent.

Two days of eventful trips stand before us with a fine spirited instance of electronic culture movement of advanced dance floors. Instead of tightened on the highpoint design there is a decidedly musical measure of depth, floor romantic, a trip into the mind, the collective arms in the air experience, as well as mud and cream for individual mobility and a shared ecstasy. Regardless who opens to this page, whether generation Zapelphillip, techno tourist, nerd guerilla, indie bouncer, checker-bootica, festival mascots, a few dancers, the senselessly mobile or a beat-droid; take time off from “I” and go on vacation in “we”. There’s probably no busier protagonist in the scene of the republic’s eastern realm than artist management DUSTED DECKS! We make no pretence of the agency’s considerable success, which is not based on surrounding oneself with already famous international artists. They rather rely on a working innovative philosophy and attract those artists who appreciate cordial relationship even apart from their job as a DJ and spread the sound of Dusted Decks.
Sure, they feel quite pleased to be compared to the French Ed-Banger-Nights. At these evenings, a lot of hustle and bustle is going on both behind and in front of the decks. And once in a while, the crew and the whole entourage love to join for a spontaneous freak-out. However, House and Minimal sounds are welcome as well. Thus, it’s no surprise that none other than successful producer and top DJ Gregor Tresher has been invited. Beside various releases at DJ Tomcraft’s label “Greatstuff”, we will hear a lot of him and his brand-new label “Break New Soil Recordings” in future. Over and above, he’s nominated for the “Beatport Music Award 2009”.
We’re looking forward to what is about to come from their direction. But at the moment, they are looking forward to rocking SonneMondSterne with you! For the visual tuning, VJ Devon Miles and the festival-proven deco crew of Stellmacher & Jensen will be in on it.

City of Music and Hard & Smart meets SonneMondSterne #13, a high of sorts, which makes 13 the absolute lucky number!
Hard & Smart is painting the towns of Saxony-Anhalt red. Their event series “blau machen” (meaning “skip work”) in Laucha is legendary and their hangar parties at Allstedt, the day parties at Burg Bornstedt and, of course, the old sugar factory Laucha should be a household name to everyone in Middle Germany.
The association City of Music e.V. ‘(COM) is not less successful. They’ve started at Tepe in Sondershausen, arranged parties in other clubs until they discovered the Recar! There, “Carpe Noctem – Nutze die Nacht” (“cease the night”) was brought to live and, later on, the nowadays most successful indoor mass rally in Thuringia “Royal Entertainment”. After the Recar has been closed, 7Places in Erfurt became the new home for COM events.
Another showpiece club is the Thuringian “Klangkino”. Despite their relatively short existence, they’ve set inspirational highlights in the scene. Our latest partner in this network is the label “Dekadent Schallplatten”. They catch on with both vinyls and digital releases which easily compete with the stuff of established record companies.
This assortment is our call for laisser-faire, for joint escalation, for endorphin jugglery, for going adrift, for losing one’s rag and, finally, for all-embracing enjoyment. Providing the beat means defining the space!

First of all, Happy Birthday to this crazy number. Thirteen years of celebrated open air amusement on Saalburg Beach. As well as some self-cense, for Muna celebrates it’s round birthday in Saalburg. Ten years of summer holiday at Germany’s biggest reservoir. Such moments we use, of course, for a retrospect. A review of ten years full of jolly, august and colourful guests, musical and artistic surprises, rain, sun, music and a vitalising and a refreshing party crowd. And last but not least: a stunning WE-feeling made of summer, water, music and country idyll, that within a few minutes becomes an impulsive party metropolis and on Sunday evening falls into its sleep again for 362 days.

The quick change of the weather, like in last year during SMS, shows us the variety of a festival. We also don’t know how the weather will be, but we know how it will be at the 2nd stage.
In addition to the own DJs of BRB-Allstars, there will be on Friday a suspense curve from minimal beats build up to tighter rhythm. The Berlin DJs and producers Dole & Kom are famous for his label “Death by Disco” and rate among to the bedrock of electronic music.
With Marco Remus, the head of Nerven Rec. and Stereo70, there will be more powerful “Hard-Techno” made in the Netherlands. Marco will us present a DJ-Set from heaven, so that the Bleilochtalsperre will quake. The Saturday of the festival will become quieter. Disco Dice will present us her own definition of the electronic 80ies. We can look forward to the old classics in the coat of house/electro-music. For the first time, Cours de Performance will be at the 2nd stage. The newcomer Liveact from Berlin is very actual in Berlin and Brandenburg. They are a secret tip. Their first record-release was sold-out in a few days.
At the end of the Festival is the legendary Sunday-After-Hour (hopefully with a numerous of Dutchmen again) an d then the three trucks will hit road forward to the Homebase in Niedergörsdorf, where the eleventh Summer Spirit Festival will take place from 28 to 30 August.

Let’s go for the glory seventh boat party of and by the FRESHest pocketsize informant in scene. Meet FRESHGUIDE at the most popular festival under the Eastern German sun, respective moon and stars. In co-operation with ULLSWATERSCHMIDT we tie up with where the sound odyssey longingly ended last year and will pep up the otherwise idyllic excursion steamer and the passengers as usual. “Cast off, full speed ahead and don’t forget your sun cream”, shouted out to everybody fit enough to board the FRESHBOAT on Saturday at noon. Get on board for a musical cruise towards sunset on Bleilochtalsperre every full hour – powered by the phattest beats of our freshest vinyl-captains. Set sails with the FRESHBOAT for its last turn at 9 pm and rave on when the crew is setting the final anchor for groovy electro sounds and booming techno beats until dawn sends all sailors to the berth.
